Oak Bay Professional Firefighters

Thanks to all who came out, donated, and enjoyed our pancake breakfast fundraiser at the 64th annual Oak Bay Tea Party. Your Oak Bay Firefighters were asked last minute if we could hold this years pancake breakfast because the incumbent organization had staffing issues. No pressure, we obviously accepted the late challenge to continue this tradition for the tea party organization. We bought all the equipment and supplies and organized the firefighter volunteers in just two weeks.

This was allot of legwork for Trent, our Director for our union’s charitable organization, and several of our off duty firefighters from local 1856 came out to cook and serve the delicious pancakes, sausages, coffee and juice.

We served just over two hundred fifty orders, raising funds for our charity to in turn give back to the community at future events. Thanks to everyone who supported us in this new role, looking forward to next year.
